The Five (5) Things I'll Surely Miss

The clock’s hand will tick a single minute from now and it’s gonna hit 12:00 a.m. I can’t sleep, my mind is boggling. I guess the tea got me a little enthused, or maybe because I was just too excited for tomorrow's event that I was preoccupied of what's gonna happen next.

Tomorrow is our graduation day. The long awaited day where we can fully say that we've survive the four grueling years of staying in the halls of our campus. It is also a day to bid our goodbyes and take the last walk together.

I've got nothing else to do and so I explored some unforgotten files on the disk. I found some old pictures of me and the rest of my college classmates and friends. Keepsakes, made me laugh and look back at our struggles and journey together (T_T). There won’t be moments like this anymore, when we stop going to school. It’s time we open up a new chapter and face the real world, the harsh and hostile field of work.

I thought for a second, 'what could be the things that I will probably miss with my college life?' I found out there are a lot of them. I created a list and narrowed down all the unforgettable things we’ve shared that brought us euphoria and blues all along into five! It’s been roughly four (4) years of togetherness with these people, and saying our goodbyes would be the hardest. I gathered all the guts to write what I was feeling at this particular moment (yes, writing is an avenue where I can let out all the sentiments and crap, lmao). Forgive me, I’m not the expressive kinda type really.

So here it is, the five (5) things I’m sure will be missed, by me and the rest of the fellas of Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education section D1 (from 2008 – 2012) of USeP Tagum.

1.      ONCE UPON A TIME (DILI USO ANG BALBAG, ROFL)
Oh c’mon! Look at those sweet and innocent smiles (lol). Those were the days where we just settle on konting polbos and dyutay nga panudlay to make us presentable. We termed ourselves as “mga yagit nga college students” (as compared to other schools btw).

2.     STUPID (YET EDUCATIONAL DAW, LOL) GROUP PRESENTATIONS
As far as I could remember, we staged a couple of musical, fashion, dramatic, variety and other YOU-CANNOT-IMAGINE shows in our entire college lives. Since it is part of the curriculum, we cannot do anything about it but to do it (even if risking our own innocent images in front of the naked eyes of the university people).

3.     ENROLLMENT AND CLEARANCE FREAK-OUT MOMENTS
Clearance signing and enrollment process in the university are just some of the things we could just think of dying (just vanish in the spot where we are for a moment to take a break). These are probably the times of dutdutay, paningka, and pagbagulbol among the students. Take the word, stressful.

4.     DISCUSSIONS, EXAMS, PROGRAMS AND OTHER WTH MISADVENTURES INSIDE AND BEYOND THE CAMPUS
As part of our duties as huwarang mag-aaral, we also share some laugh trips during class discussion and reporting. Fellow dumb classmates usually crack the crowd to laughter. We  poke fun at our own little mistakes. We laugh MOSTLY about ourselves.

And what better way to spend our last year together with an erroneous trip to nowhere (lol). Seriously, the trip was amazing, but the whole dang thing was just unprepared.

5.     BEAUTIFUL SNAPS AND STOLEN FLASHES (OF US TOGETHER) LIKE THESE….. (@____@)
Looking at photographs like these make me reminisce the past four (4) years of hardships, victories, blues, laughter and a bucket of sunshine I have shared with these beautiful people.

CONGRATULATIONS GUYS! WE'VE MADE IT THIS FAR!

NOTE: preferably to be posted on March 30, 2012, but ends up right now! which means, again a late entry. T.T
