Hello Stranger Movie Review

Ok I know this is somewhat kinda late, but I’d still like to post this one out if ever some of you might still out-of-the-zone with this movie. So here it is my own movie review. ^____^

Hello Stranger is a 2010 feel good romantic-comedy movie of Thailand. Starring two of the hottest actors Chantavit Dhanasevi and Nuengthida Sophon, this movie will take you to a crazy love ride shot in (the place I look forward to visit someday) Korea. If you’re into Korean dramas, Korean pop music and anything about Korea then this movie is perfect for you!

The story revolves around two young Thai and complete strangers to each other, Daang and May (not their real name in the movie really) who came from their recent break-ups and ended up falling for each other. The female protagonist May (played by Nuengthida Sophon), went on to visit a Korean friend and probably to attend her wedding in Korea. Without her boyfriend’s knowledge, she went on all by herself and lied that she’s with a friend. Now she’s on for the Korean series trail she loves. I could somehow relate to the character since she’s also an avid fan of Korean dramas like “Coffee Prince” and “Winter Sonata”. And she absolutely loves Korean actor Bae Yong Jun! There was one hilarious scene where an almost BYJ clone step-out and surprise her (when it was actually the waiter of the resto, lol~). Honestly that guy is a complete doppelganger.

On the other hand, Daang, the male protagonist (played by Chantavit Dhanasevi) went on to a Korean tour in hopes of meeting his ex. All by himself, he went straight to Korea, not even bringing some appropriate clothes on and manners. (T.T) He even can’t speak straight English. But the actor here is really good. He portrayed his character well. He kind of remind me of Mario Maurer (another Thai hottie~).

So the meeting of the two characters went well. All bored, Daang went out for some refreshment, so he ordered and dined-out at a local food chain serving street foods. Got communication problems (since he can’t speak straight Korean even English and most Korean doesn’t understand and speak English well) with the server, he was surprised that he was actually eating a dog meat! To his dismay he went straight to the streets all in just white bathrobe, and suddenly falls asleep in front of the hostel (backpackers) where May stays.

Coupled with various events that happened, the two became friends. Excitingly, they became friends without knowing each other’s names. They made a pact that anything can be said towards each other and vowed to just enjoy each other’s company since they’re both from the same nationality. Daang told May of the past between him and his ex named Koi. He told her he came from a recent break-up. He kept calling Koi, but she wasn’t picking up. The break-up was due to his decision of not marrying her too soon. Unfortunately, May’s boyfriend found out about her lies and broke-up with her over the phone. Depressed and sadden with the situation, the two went on to enjoy each other’s company. Unknowingly they were actually harboring feeling towards each other. Unknowingly they were harboring feelings towards each other.

The movie is packed with cute and light dramatic and hilarious scenes. The actors are really really great!

This movie will take you to the different hotspots in Korea. From the Namsan Tower, Lotte World, Bukchon Hanok Village to Nami Island.

And what could be more exciting with a kissing scene to complete it all! ♥

But the most heartbreaking part, when Koi comes in the picture. T.T

Personally, I love the movie. Actors, location, storyline, and the scenes, all were absolutely perfect! The script is also evenly written. Except on the last part (ending), I guess it was not much of a better one, since it left me nothing but hanging thoughts. It did not end the exactly as I thought. I was completely expecting of a happily ever after but I was wrong. I guess it was a twist or something. But other than that, I think it’s a strategy of the scriptwriter or the director (or whoever is responsible for it). They don’t want a happy ending I guess. Or maybe there could be a sequel brewing up. ^_^

There’s something ‘bout Krystal...

A lot has been said about this outspoken young lady who’s been in the Korean entertainment scene for quite some time. And I’m talking about nonetheless, the G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S f(x) maknae, Krystal Jung.
Well, why am I suddenly talking & blogging about her. At the first place, I’ve got Choi Jin Ri (Sulli) and Park Sun Young (Luna) as my biases. But as Lachata turned to Pinocchio, just found myself HEAD-OVER-HEELS with this lady. There’s really something ‘bout Krystal…

She’s as normal as everybody else. And yeah, she’s 16. All that and so damn HOT! She could even pass as a GG/SNSD member though. She’s got the beauty, voice, charisma, dance antics and of course the legs.

As far as any kpop article is concern, there have been a lot of people who talk shit about her. And it all pertains to her attitude. Some even say she has a bad personality. Like, she’s mean, stubborn, has an arrogant kinda like image, snobbish and primadonna. Just to name a few. There’s even one that I have read, during one of their group photo shoot, one staff said Luna and Victoria have the ideal attitude and that excludes Sulli and Krystal. As for Amber, she was not around that time since she’s in America for vacation.
Then there’s that certain “Kiss and Cry” attitude issue. She and skating partner got misunderstanding problems. Krystal doesn’t want to learn and execute the routines. Like she only wanted what she wants. She even is tagged as Korea’s Miley Cyrus, for not acting and dressing-up her age.

Apart from all those negative things about her, what I love about her is her unique sense of fashion. Blame it to that short “shorts”. Lol

Well, she can pull off anything and everything! Be it with that shorts, jeans, even pencil or bubble skirt or any other body-hugging dress. That doll-like figure could carry any wardrobe or style. Compliments to her stylists also, for always dressing-up Krystal the way fans want and love.

Like any maknae of the group, she exudes exceptionally. She’s got her own style too. Her voice is lovely and pure. She’s not all that aegyo on stage either, which another thing I like about her. She just simply performs and be herself on stage no matter what others might tell or say. I guess everyone should stop saying she just hit major fame because she’s a Jung. Dad, athlete; mom, gymnast; and sister Jessica Jung, an SNSD member. Others think she’s overshadowed by her sister. C’mon, she got her own style too! She’s more than just a pretty face.

She’s a darling. I could tell. She is loved by the other girls.

Even Super Junior Leeteuk loves her. He cares so much with the younger girls especially Krystal. I remember them both dancing like crazy with that “electric dance” once in Come to Play. They were really hilarious. She is one heck of a crazy kid. And Leeteuk was like an ideal oppa to her (they even look good together~).
Though she’s not my bias at first but I grew loving her all the way, not as an f(x) member but as a person. There’s something about her that makes you fall head over heels. She’s got that certain kind of charm you just can’t resist. I JUST LOVE HER.
